Day 1 : Arrival in Colombo

On arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be greeted by your local representative and transferred to Colombo, Sri Lanka’s lively capital. Check in to your hotel and relax after the journey.Optional Experience (subject to arrival time): Enjoy an authentic Sri Lankan cooking session at the home of Mohara Dole. Begin with a market visit to select fresh produce and spices, then learn to prepare classic dishes like rice and curry, hoppers, pol sambol, and watalappan while Mohara shares cultural insights. Conclude with a shared meal of your creations. If not possible on arrival day, this experience can be arranged the following day. Overnight in Colombo.
Day 2 : Colombo to Dambulla to Habrana

Explore the UNESCO-listed Dambulla Golden Cave Temple, Sri Lanka’s largest and best-preserved rock temple complex, dating back over 2,000 years. Perched atop a granite outcrop, it features five sacred caves with vibrant murals, sacred relics, and over 150 Buddha statues, including a 14-meter reclining Buddha. Enjoy sweeping countryside views as you ascend, while the painted ceilings depict key Buddhist teachings. Continue to Habarana and check in at your hotel.Optional (time permitting): Embark on an afternoon jeep safari in Minneriya National Park, renowned for its seasonal Elephant Gathering and rich wildlife, including deer, leopards, sloth bears, and diverse bird species. Day 3 : Habarana Sightseeing

Start early with a scenic 30–40 minute hike up Pidurangala Rock to watch a spectacular sunrise over Sigiriya, enjoying a picnic breakfast amid sweeping 360-degree views. Return to the hotel to refresh, then set off for a Hiriwadunna Village Trek through paddy fields, forest trails, and a serene lake. Ride a bullock cart and a catamaran before savoring a traditional clay-pot Sri Lankan lunch with village hosts. In the afternoon, opt to climb the UNESCO-listed Sigiriya Rock Fortress, exploring its water gardens, ancient frescoes, and the Lion’s Paw terrace before reaching the summit for panoramic jungle views. Day 4 : Habarana to Kandy

After breakfast, check out and travel south to Matale, a scenic region in Sri Lanka’s central hills known for its spice gardens. Enjoy a guided tour of a traditional plantation, learning about cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg, and pepper, their culinary, medicinal, and Ayurvedic uses, and Sri Lanka’s historical spice trade. Participate in a hands-on cooking session with local chefs, preparing traditional dishes with freshly ground spices, followed by a home-cooked lunch of your creations. Continue to the historic hill city of Kandy, check in at your hotel, and spend the rest of the day at leisure amidst its tranquil, forested surroundings. Overnight in Kandy.
Day 5 : Kandy Sightseeing

After an early breakfast, visit Sri Dalada Maligawa, the Temple of the Tooth Relic, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka’s most sacred Buddhist temples. Admire the intricate Kandyan architecture, golden motifs, and vibrant murals, and attend the morning pooja ceremony, featuring drumming, chanting, and offerings. Explore the temple museum and inner chambers for religious artifacts and historical exhibits. Later, enjoy a Kandy city tour, beginning with a stroll around serene Kandy Lake, followed by the bustling Kandy Market. Experience a traditional Kandyan dance performance and visit a scenic viewpoint to admire the city’s lush hills and colonial charm. Overnight in Kandy.
